Animal Welfare

I would like to see commitment from the government in favour of animal welfare such as harsher penalties for mistreated animals; more financial contributions and commitment to animal shelters to help them provide better facilities for our furry friends as they wait for a loving home. I am a dog owner and find it very difficult to find open space to exercise our family member. The dog park in Ta' Qali and Marsascala was a good initiative however their upkeep leaves much to be desired.
